At 32 years old, John Davis found himself sleeping on his sister’s floor every night. He realized he had never owned anything in his life.

He was also struggling with substance abuse.

“I’ve seen a whole bunch of really bad things happen to people, and drugs and alcohol was the medication that I used to not feel the pain,” he says.
