We Did It: A #5WeeksofGiving Wrap-up

What an amazing 5 weeks!

We’ve shared the stories of people who have developed a relationship with God while receiving our services. We’ve explained how we go beyond simply having faith to practicing our faith through our services, and our employees have detailed what quality care looks like.

Read all our stories from the past 5 weeks.thank-you

It has been a humbling experience to tell the Volunteers of America Chesapeake story and work with you to support even more vulnerable communities through our #5weeksofgiving fundraising campaign.

Our goal was to raise $130,000, and we surpassed it my more than $8,000! We’re still calculating the numbers, and we’ll have a final total soon.

You helped us better serve the following vulnerable communities:

The Homeless

Veterans

Individuals in Supportive Housing

Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

Individuals with Behavioral Health Concerns

Substance Abusers

Individuals Formally Incarcerated

If you didn’t get a chance to donate, you can still support us here.

Heading to Facebook and sharing that you donated to a cause you care about increases donations to that cause by three times, on average. Please share your support for Volunteers of America Chesapeake’s vulnerable communities on Facebook and Twitter and tag our pages.

Thank you again for helping us ring in the New Year by creating a culture of GIVING!
