F.A.I.T.H.: Focusing Ahead with Insightful Tasks to Help.
According to James 2:17, Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Volunteers of America Chesapeake has provided me with opportunities to put my faith in action by compiling, developing, creating, and writing applications/grants necessary to competitively and innovatively apply for funding that supports the important hands-on work of other Volunteers of America Chesapeake staff.
My faith is the connection I have to God that births divine creativity. Faith enables me to see the finish line of all the vulnerable people that will be helped as resources are secured. I believe caring touches the very heart of God.
It is a pleasure for me to work with VPs, program directors, finance staff and others as a team to carry out all the tasks that are necessary to create competitive grants/applications that are awarded funding. Also, to work with Volunteers of America Chesapeake staff to monitor and report progress towards carrying out the purposes of the funding that the organization receives.
My faith is the doorway to my vision to help others with their challenges whether through my work at Volunteers of America Chesapeake, the work I do at my church, and/or the work I do with family and friends.
When I became a Christian, I wanted to please God by being a good steward over the time, talents, relationships, and the resources He gave me. I am motivated by the beauty of eternity seen only through the eyes of faith. I am secure in His Love. Giving back to God what He first blessed me is a pleasure and my act of worship to God.
