2 Corinthians 9:12 (NIV) This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.
Hey Chesapeake! It’s time for another installment of Thank You Thursday! Today we’re highlighting a partner and friend, Jenna Kirkpatrick-Howard of Lockton Companies who not only made a monetary pledge for the next 5 years, but also lent her voice and personal story of compassion to help encourage other donors to give.
“Jenna didn’t hold back. She took time to learn about our mission and see our work first hand. She even invited other business partners to tour our programs and introduced us to four new sponsors. There is no way to express in words how much we appreciate someone who shares our values, believes in our highest priorities and makes a personal commitment to take a journey with our organization in the transformation of many lives” says Chief Business Development Officer Rob Malone.
Serving on the Harvest for Hope Breakfast Committee, Jenna helped us plan, organize and raise more than $60,000!
“The Volunteers of America’s motto Called to Care is a personal and meaningful statement to my family. I know that my involvement and support, as well as that of Lockton Companies, goes to help individuals in the most dire circumstances find permanent housing options, overcome addictions, and rejoin our community. Just visit one of the VOA sites and you will see the passion of the clients, the commitment from the staff, and how powerful this work is to our community. ” says Jenna.
There’s no doubt that seeing our clients excel gives us energy and sparks our enthusiasm. Actions of people like Jenna do exactly the same. She has inspired our leadership team and staff! They know that someone else cares.
When you give a major gift to Volunteers of America Chesapeake you make a major difference in the lives of more than 6,000 individuals and families in our region; families who would otherwise not be able to spend the holidays together and individuals who would otherwise be left on the streets.
