If you had trouble waking up this morning, you are not alone. And if you are struggling to find a reason to smile, that’s not uncommon either. Here in Chesapeake we understand the Monday Blues so we issued a challenge to our co-workers to share with us the quotes, stories and scriptures that help them get motivated on Monday mornings!
Today we bring you Motivations from our Intellectual Disabilities Services Programs:
Raquel Melecio of Northern Virginia Community Living Centers says:
If you want happiness for an hour take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime- help someone else.
I read this one and was floored because this to me describes us here at NVCLC we spend our days thinking of creative ways to allow our clients to live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful we tend to stop and think is he or she having fun? Are they feeling Gods presence in our acts?
Not realizing in return you will be amazed and that we are being given gift that is priceless happiness. Love what you do. Do what you love. And the universe will pay you back with an abundance of LOVE!!!
