Wednesday’s Wish:
Technology can remove barriers to learning and be especially helpful to at-risk students, connecting them to resources otherwise unavailable. Here at VOA Chesapeake, we understand the need for our children to have access to technology both at home and at school, that’s why this Wednesday’s Wish is for Flash Drives!
Flash Drives allow our children to save documents, spreadsheets, and files they may be working on and access them from home or from one of our on-site computer labs. Supportive Housing Programs like our Eastern Avenue Apartments feature community rooms with internet, fax, copy and scan access to assist our residents in school work, job searches and connecting to community based resources. Providing the ability to save and transport important electronic files is another way you can help us answer the Call to Care for homeless and low-income children throughout our area.
