Project: HOME

Project: HOME

On March 28, 2013 Volunteers of America Chesapeake in partnership with Loudoun County, VA and HomeAid Northern Virginia kicked off Project: HOME, a $250,000 renovation to 8 transitional housing apartments at the Loudoun County Homeless Services Center.

Builder Captains Winchester Homes & Miller & Smith joined the team, covering more than 85% of the renovation costs. Over the past 2 months Builder Captains and contractors have worked to not only renovate the existing space, but create a home for formerly homeless families served by the shelter on Meadowview Road in Leesburg, VA.

On June 10, 2013 the partners will come together again to celebrate the success and completion of the project.

“I’m shocked!” said Hope Stonerock (title) of Loudoun County. “The functionality of the space is incredible.”

“I know we say this at every event, but this is truly amazing, I’m blown away!” said Christy Eaton, Executive Director of HomeAid Northern Virginia.

Join us in celebrating our partners!
