Pay It Forward!
Students Today, Leaders Forever is a nonprofit student leadership organization. Each year during the ‘Spring Break’ season, student leaders from across the country gather for Pay it Forward Tours. Bus loads of diverse college students come together to engage in community services projects across the country.
‘This is our tenth (10th) season,” says Ellie Forstaff of STLF “Our 450th tour is on the road right now.”
This year, Students Today, Leaders Forever will visit our Pratt Street Transitional Housing Program to paint and beautify the program home to 35 formerly homeless families and nearly 100 children.
“This is our chance to build lasting relationships, and impact the community in a meaningful way” said Ellie.
The student groups from St. Scholastica College in Duluth, MN and North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND will arrive at Pratt house at 9:00am on Thursday March 14, 2013.
“We’re going to do some painting, meet some of the residents and enjoy improving our community together” says Ms. Rhonda Nelson, Volunteer Coordinator at VOA Chesapeake.
