Faith – Complete trust or confidence in someone or something
Faith is the third of our Core Values. Did you know Volunteers of America Chesapeake is a nondenominational church? Our Ministry of Service is committed to assisting in the spiritual growth of all who are willing. Though based in Christianity, our Ministry of Service brings together spiritual leaders and the faithful from different religions to share and discuss their beliefs. The interdenominational approach allows us to focus on spiritual opportunities offered to our clients, residents, volunteers, staff and the communities at large.
– Eighteen of our 31 Programs offer Spiritual Development activities on site including Bible Study and Spiritual
Reading Groups.
– Our Chaplain, Rev. Sandra Trice Gray is on hand for spiritual counseling and prayer to anyone in need.
– We hold monthly worship services at our Administrative Offices featuring guest speakers from across the faith
community.
